MEDICAL ACUPUNCTURE WITH OSTEOPATHY

Medical Acupuncture has long been used to treat aches and pains. Simplistically put, it is a way of using the body’s nervous system to release tension in tissues, restoring function and balance, thus promoting faster healing.

Many osteopaths use Medical acupuncture in conjunction with other osteopathic techniques when treating a variety of injuries and conditions. Depending on the acuteness or chronicity of the injury, the osteopath will employ a range of techniques such as joint manipulations, articulation, soft tissue massage, traction, cranial techniques and of course medical acupuncture. When the injury is very acute and painful, often medical acupuncture is the best form of treatment to relieve pain levels and improve function.

Applied to the right area, the acupuncture needles have shown to reduce pain levels and sensitivity of the tissues around the injured site. Patients often report immediate pain relief after medical acupuncture. In conjunction with osteopathic techniques the patient often displays much improved healing times.

Here at The Aark Clinic, we offer Medical acupuncture as a stand alone treatment modality, or used in conjunction with osteopathic treatment to achieve better results. If you are experiencing aches and pains please call us on 01322 788 049 or info@theaark.co.uk.

Most aches and pains can be treated in 2-3 sessions so why put up with it.
