Pears!!! The truth about Pears for Health & Weight Loss…

Why I’m Eating Pears!! Health Benefits & Weight Loss….

We all know that Fruit and Vegetables are healthy and provide us with essential Vitamins and nutrients but for me, the humble Pear may have been slightly overlooked in the past!

Now… Pears are most definitely on my radar due to their fantastic Health Benefits and Weight Loss properties!

Pears provide a good source of fibre, vitamin B2, C, E, copper, and potassium.  They are an excellent source of pectin, which is a water soluble fibre. This makes them effective in helping to lower cholesterol levels and in toning the intestines. They are often recommended by health care practitioners as a hypoallergenic fruit that is high in fibre and are less likely to produce an adverse response than other fruits. So all in all, a fabulous fruit if you suffer from allergies or constipation!!

Weight Loss… I am always interested in trying out Healthy foods or supplements that help with Weight Loss or Help Maintain Weight Loss! Pears are ‘Thermogenic’ which means that they use more calories to digest than they contain. Eating more thermogenic foods is a great way to lose weight more quickly and more easily. Even if you’re not trying to lose weight; eating thermogenic foods on a regular basis can make it easier to maintain your current weight. Due to their fibre content, they can help you feel full on the few calories they do contain, which always helps with Weight Loss or Weight Management.

The soluble fibre in Pears also helps prevent constipation, which can be a common side effect if you have reduced your food intake whilst dieting! You don’t need to consume vast numbers to gain the benefits, and definitely don’t go overboard!! You still only need to make them 1 of your 5 a day! I have been incorporating Pears into my diet much more regularly and am seeing fantastic benefits!
