HEADACHES

CERVICO-GENIC HEADACHE

Cervico-genic Headaches are quite commonly seen by osteopaths. Most patients are unaware of the true origin of their head pain. Which is quite often from structures in the neck i.e joints, muscles and fascia.

Causes:

  • Facet joint restrictions in the neck and upper back
  • Myofascial trigger points in the neck and shoulder muscles
  • Forward head carriage
  • Head tilt

Osteopaths use a variety of techniques to help resolve the symptoms associated with cervico-genic headaches. In combination with a tailored stretching and strengthening regime have been shown to reduce the frequency and intensity of the symptoms.

At The Aark Clinic you will receive the best advice and treatment together with specific rehab exercises.
